| History
Located in the central Travancore town
of Pala in Kerala, India, INFACT (Information for Action)
is a registered non-governmental organisation committed
to the cause of sustainable living. Our involvement
is pivoted on information dissemination and initiating
participatory processes.
Vision
INFACT visualizes a society in which sustainability
has been engendered as a living principle – in
relationships, livelihoods and lifestyle of people.
Objectives
• To engender sustainable relations
in society
• Soil, water and biodiversity conservation
• To strive for food and income security of the
farmer community through sustainable agricultural practices
• To promote sustainable developmental initiatives
for the rural poor especially the ignored farmers, women,
children and labourers
• Promote public health & child rights
Working Philosophy
INFACT seeks to achieve its objectives
through the democratization of information and by making
all its processes participatory in nature – among
both external and internal stakeholders. By this what
we mean is facilitating the community to develop sustainable
solutions by themselves (collect information, analyze
information, plan, implement, monitor, evaluate and
update)
Working strategy
• Strenghtening peoples initiatives
and organisations
• Building up linkages
• Strengthening networks
• Documentation
